On 3/25 (Fri.) and 3/26 (Sat.), the Nakiyama Slope will play host to the NEVER SUMMER SNOWBOARDS TEST DEMO RIDE event (※10:00〜, FREE, ID required). Today the early morning blue skies turned overcast around the start of business. Temperatures were brisk, but with no wind it felt comfortable being outside.
[Riesen Slalom Course]
was groomed into a tightly-packed surface. My skis slid quick and smoothly, making for some enjoyable runs. Plenty of tracks were quickly laid down on this popular course, but with the weak sunshine and slowly rising temperatures, the surface held together well.

The Riesen Grat Course (pictured) was firmly-groomed, with a snow surface composed of a mix of granular snow and fresh snow from yesterday. The conditions were great for setting and maintaining edges and for smooth, easy sliding! Thick, high clouds began to build around 9:00.

The area alongside the Kurobishi No. 2 Quad as well as the Skyline Course (pictured) featured well-packed, groomed granular-snow surfaces. The ungroomed areas paralleling the Kurobishi No. 3 Pair and Alpen Quad were marked by medium to large moguls. The undulating surface on the ungroomed portion of Skyline was also quite firm.
