The Nakiyama Snowland consists of Rabby Park (kid’s sledding & “debut skiing” area), the Debut Slope alongside the Nakiyama No. 2 Pair, and the Mogumogu Hiroba. The Center House is where you can find the reception fo the Kids Park and the Hakuba Happo-One Ski & Snowboard School, as well as vending machines, restrooms and a break space (for the exclusive use of those with a Rabby Park ticket).

The 80m-long, covered moving belt (pictured) allows children to ride with their skis on, or with their sleds in hand. Staff are on hand at all times to ensure the safety of children as they ride. This moving belt also fully separates the sledding slope and debut skiing slope.

Today, in addition to the children taking group lessons on the Debut Slope, I also observed several adults using the area to practice skiing for presumably the first time. Over on the kid’s sledding area, the cost of entry includes the unlimited use of several types of sleds and various other types of toys and snow equipment (※Rabby Park admission is ¥1,000 for children 3 and over).

The Adventure Park Sakka (¥1,000 for children 3 and over), located in front of the Snow Plaza Sakka, was also buzzing with children and parents playing together with sleds and kids trying out skiing for the first time. Inside the park, you can also find a merry-go-round using tubes (a single ride is incuded with entry, additional rides are ¥500), and a trampoline (unlimited use included with entry). The Adventure Park Sakka is scheduled to remain open until 3/21 (Mon., holiday).
