The clouds started to cover the sky from this morning, but it had been sunny for these 6 days. Riesen Grat (Photo) was already in nicely wet and soft corn snow condition from the open and my skis ran well there. The groomed slope of Usagidaira was also in the same condition and the snow was very wet at 10:00 a.m. because of the warm weather of the spring season.

I met the skier (Photo) who I met on Mar. 28 (Sun) talked, “I always enjoy your reports! Actually, I came skiing last week as well.” The view of the mountains including the range of Ushiro-tateyama was so amazing today and especially Mt. Asama and Mt. Azumaya in silhouette were very impressive.

In the groomed slope along Kurobishi No.2 Quad (Photo), the melting snow was so soft that the edges of my skis went into the snow deeply. There was a mogul area in the off-piste slope of Kurobishi where the snow was changing its color with the ground. I saw some people trying the 5-6 lanes of bumps in the gentle slope between Kurobishi No.2 Quad and No.3 Pair from the morning.

Skyline Course was also groomed and in wet corn snow condition. There were 2 points where the ground was exposed, it did not matter for skiing. In Panorama Course, the south area of Kokusai No.3 Pair was closed from today, Apr. 24 (Sun), and only the north side is open now.
