This morning, it was very cold for this season, because the temperature went down yesterday and there was radiative cooling today. We had around 1cm snowfall last night as well and the trees decorated with the ice (Photo) in the upper areas over the middle part of Panorama Course. We could see the mountain ridges of the Northern Alps just after the open, but the clouds blocked off the sunlight often.

Panorama Course (Photo) was groomed well and in corn snow condition. The beginning part was nicely firm and the lower part was nicely soft. By the way, “Alpen & SPORTS DEPO 2021-22 Ski Test-riding Event” will be held from Apr. 17 (Sat) to Apr. 19 (Mon) at the special tents in front of Usagidaira Terrace (*Online booking required, Free, ID required).

The groomed slope of Usagidaira was already wet and soft from the morning. The groomed slope along Kurobishi No.2 Quad (Photo) was in nicely firm corn snow condition, so we could enjoy carving comfortably on the smooth snow. The big bumps in the off-piste areas along Alpen Quad and Kurobishi No.3 Pair were also soft enough to challenge.

The groomed slope of Skyline Course was getting wetter and softer as I skied down. The snow was very thin on some parts, but we could avoid it easily thanks to the poles on the point. By the way, this Sunday on Apr. 18 (Sun) will be “Ski Kid’s Day” and children under 13 years old will be free of charge.
