The spring discount of the lift tickets for adults started yesterday on Mar. 20 (Sat) after the child ticket discount from Mar. 1 (Mon), so now 1 day lift ticket is JPY4,500 for an adult and JPY1,000 for a child. Besides, Today is “Ski Kids Day” on the 3rd Sunday, so the children under 13 years old are free of lift charges. It is getting warmer and warmer from Mar. 18 (Thu).

Fortunately, the rain has stopped already. The groomed slope of Riesen Slalom Course (1st and 2nd Photo) was in good condition of soft corn snow. Nakiyama was groomed well and very firm in the morning, but the slope got wetter and softer gradually.

“The 4th Hakuba Happo-one Kids Ski Technical Competition” is held in the south area of Panorama Course. In this competition, the children from 6 years old to 15 years old are showing their results of their hard work. The race started at 9:45 a.m. and the individual divisions of “Time Race”, “Giant Slalom”, “Slalom” and the group division were held.

I saw people cheering up their friends and children along the course of the competition. The groomed slope of Panorama Course was in nicely soft corn snow condition. By the way, the opening ceremony and awards ceremony will not be held to avoid getting crowded, but the winners will be given their awards individually.
