Happo-one / ◎300cm / Cloudy & Sunny2021.Mar.04

21030401_happoWe had a calm morning with the soft sunlight through the thin clouds. The goomed slope of Panorama Course was nicely form with corn snow, so we could enjoy riding at high speed there. I saw the participants of “The 75th Riesen Slalom Competition” warming up in the morning.
[Panorama Course]
21030402_happoUsagidaira was also groomed well and nicely firm with corn snow. The wide groomed slope along Kurobishi No.2 Quad (Photo) was also in corn snow condition, but the snow was better than Usagidaira and Panorama because this area faces the north. The off-piste areas along Alpen Quad and Kurobishi No.3 Pair were covered with hard bumps.

21030403_happoAt 9:00 a.m, “The 75th Riesen Slalom Competition”, a traditional amateur race, started. A lot of people join this competition, so there are many divisions from junior high school to over 80 years old. This competition will last for 2 days until tomorrow (There is also an open division which has no limitation of ages).
[Riesen Slalom Course]
21030404_happoThe slopes remained in good condition for a long time because the sunlight was not strong and the temperature stayed low. When I skied down to Usuba with the participant going at high speed, the corn snow got melted and soft in the area.
