It had been very windy on the upper areas in the morning for these 3days…. The sun appeared in the east sky slightly, but the ski area was always in the shade with light snowfall. It is expected that the lift line of “Nakiyama No.3 Triple to Happo Riesen Quad” would be busy, so I went to Sakka. At this area, Sakka Kitaone Quad (Photo) and Sakka No.2 Pair started their operation at 8:00 a.m. as scheduled.

In the steep slope of Kitaone (1st Photo), hard bumps of corn snow were hiding under the 10cm fresh snow. It was in difficult condition because of the hard snow and I could hear my skis scratching the icy slope. The groomed slope of Olympic Course Ⅱ (Sakka Wave, Photo) was in very good condition with the nicely firm snow.

Rindo Course in Kitaone (Photo) was also groomed well and nice for cruising. A father (Photo) from Hakuba talked, “It’s very quiet this season.” Also, we got many greetings and cheerings because today was a weekend. Appreciate all of you for it!

Both the north and south (Photo) area of Sakka had flat groomed slopes of good snow as well. By the way, as of 10:13 a.m, the available lifts were totally 8 lifts including 2 lifts in Sakka mentioned above, Gondola, Nakiyama No.2 Pair, Nakiyama No.3 Triple, Happo Riesen Quad, Shirakaba No.1 Pair and Panorama Pair.
