A family from Matsumoto City gave me a greeting, “We always check your reports! There are much less people than usual this winter. Although the weather is not good, we will go up to Riesen Grat.” The snow falling lightly this morning stopped at around 8:30 a.m, but the thick fogs still made our visibility poor after that.

The groomed slope of Usagidaira (First Photo) and that along Kurobishi No.2 Quad (Photo) were in good condition with its nicely firm wet snow and thin fresh snow on them! I met a man from Tokyo and he talked, “I always enjoy your reports! I come skiing with enough prevention of infections. I will stay at my regular hotel tonight and enjoy Happo tomorrow as well!”

In Skyline Course, the thin fresh snow on the slope softened the feel of the groomed slope which was very firm with wet snow. However, I still needed to control my speed carefully, because it was hard to see the surface of the slope. As I skied down to the lower areas, the visibility got better from Rindo Course of Kitaone.

The groomed slope of Sakka already got melting a little, so it was good for cruising with its nicely soft snow. By the way, although Nakiyama Snow Land was closed temporarily this weekend, Adventure Park Sakka (Open on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and holidays) was open again today. Shirakaba No.1 Pair is closed for a while from Jan. 23 (Sat).
