Hakuba Happo-one Ski School & Snowboard School (Photo) is one of the greatest ski schools in Japan. The Ski Certification for every grade is held from 0:30 p.m. on every Sunday until May 2 (Sun) and Feb. 6 (Sat). There are pre-certification classes in the morning on every Saturday and Sunday and also special lessons. Today, the 3rd certification in this season is held here.

The north slope of Nakiyama (Photo) which is often used for ski certifications was groomed well and in nice condition. However, there were bumps on the slope because the amount of fresh snow was not enough to cover all of them. In Nakiyama Snowland, the staffs were preparing for the open at 9:00 a.m.

The nicely firm groomed slope of Riesen Slalom Course was also in good condition for enjoying curving with high speed. In Usuba of the bottom part, the feel of the snow changed because the snow making machines were working last night.

A father from Saitama Pref. talked, “Today, my children will take the ski certification of the 1st grade. The youngest boy wearing the blue clothes is 9 years old now.” It has been snowing for 5 days already, but the amount of the new snowfall is getting less and the upper part had 10-15cm fresh snow this morning.
