The upper area of Usagidaira and Kurobishi was shrouded in the thick fog in thirty minutes after opening. The snow was blanketed with about 10 centimeters of soft fine fresh snow in the upper area last night. I enjoyed skiing in the five centimeters of new snow on the groomed area along Kurobishi No.2 Quad. However, I almost got a sickness because of the low contrast snow surface.
[Kurobishi Slope]
I got out of the fog when I reached Skyline Course. The groomed run was excellent like Kurobishi! I enjoyed carving turns on the flat powdery slope covered with five centimeters of new snow.
[Skyline Course]
About 60~70 percent of the northern area and the entire southern area was groomed in Sakka Slope. The snow was wet as it’s been warm these three days. For your information, the southern area of Sakka has been closed because Sakka No.2 Pair operation is suspended.
[Sakka Slope]
I visited Panorama Course first thing in the morning. There was five to seven centimeters of light fresh snow on the firm groomed snow in the northern side of Kokusai No.3 Pair lift. The area was not very crowded because many people headed towards Riesen and Alpen Quad station after taking off Gondola.
