Happo-one / △155cm / Snowy2020.Dec.16
Usagidaira and Kurobishi are now open as Alpen Quad and Kurobishi No.2 Quad started operation today. It’s been snowing and the upeer area recived more than 40 cm of fresh snow in the past 24 hours. The first Alpen Quad left at 9:35 am. Skiers and snowboarders left for the non-groomed snow area one after another.
[Usagidaira]
My ski poles sank in the deep powdery snow along Alpen Quad. The snow was so soft that I felt like I was floating. Everyone seemed excited, shouting with joy.
[Usagidaira]
The southern groomed snow was soft, covered with 10~15 cm of fresh snow in Usagidaira. It was difficult to find the boundary between the groomed and non-groomed area due to the heavy snow and thick fog.
[Usagidaira]
The groomed snow area along Kurobishi No.2 Quad was blanketed with about 10 cm of soft fresh snow, and I enjoyed carving on skis. I saw some people stuck in the non-groomed snow on the west. We’ve had more snowfall this year than last year so far. The area reported155 cm of snow in total this morinng, which was as much snowfall as it received in mid-January last year.
