Happo One / ○340cm / Snowy2019.Apr.03

19040301_happoIt was snowy from yesterday lunch till this morning. People one after another went to the area along Kurobishi No.3 Slope where there was about 45 cm (!) of soft, fresh snow as soon as they got off Alpen Quad. The fresh snow was a bit heavy but I enjoyed a floating feeling without having a bottom feeling.

19040302_happoIt was foggy and visibility was poor at the upper area. The compacted area of Skyline Course (as shown in the photo), the area along Kurobishi No.2 Quad, the southern compacted area of Usagidaira was nicely soft. I enjoyed gaining speed on the 10 cm of fresh snow.

19040303_happoThe lower non-compacted area of Skyline Course, which is located in the middle of the slope, also had about 45 cm of fresh snow. The right side was crowded with skiers/snowboarders from the early morning. Meanwhile, there were fewer people on the left side and I saw some skiers/snowboarders raising a beautiful cloud of snow.

19040304_happoThe southern compacted area of Usagidaira was getting rough around 9:30 but it was still ok. “I enjoy your reports! I’m having a skiing session with my friends, who are coming from various areas of Japan and got to know each other at Happo. The quality of the snow is incredible and it’s super amazing April!”, a man from Osaka said.
