Happo One / ○260cm / Cloudy2019.Mar.30

19033001_happoIt was cloudy but we were blessed with comfortable weather without wind on the last Saturday of March. The southern compacted side of Usagidaira was a bit hard and granular. My ski edges cut into the snow well and I enjoyed making turns.

19033002_happo“We enjoy your reports! We come here almost every week and stay overnight, but this may be the last time of this season.”, a man from Kobe City, Hyogo and the other three from Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka said. By the way, there was plenty of snow at the starting area of Usagidaira thanks to the artificial snowfall machine as you can see in the background of the photo.

19033003_happoThe area along Kurobishi No.2 Quad was flat, non-granular, firm and the best this morning. Skyline Course was in similar condition as Kurobishi at first, however, it turned to granular as I went down. Many people, including four skiers from Tokyo and Kanagawa who had a chat with me, went down with good speed.

19033004_happoKitaone No.3 Pair (shown in the photo), Sakka Kitaone Quad, HAPPO BANKS ( ※10 a.m.~), Nakiyama No.3 Triple and Riesen Quad will be closed after Apr.7 (Sun). Kitaone No.3 Slope was empty in the morning as it is the bottom slope, and I enjoyed leaving my ski tracks on the firm, soft slope filled with corduroy patterns.
