URA-KURO has opened today! All areas, except for new powder area, “Omusubi”, are now available. “We enjoy your reports. The slope looks hard today…”, a group of three skiers coming from Osaka said. The non-compacted area along Kurobishi No.3 Pair was firm, covered with 10-20cm of fresh snow from yesterday.

It was snowing calmly in the sunshine this morning. The compacted area along Kurobishi No.2 Quad was firm and perfect, covered with powder snow. It was still flat around 9 am as many people headed for Skyline Course and there were few people there.

Powder snow was compacted and nicely firm on the central area of Skyline Course. Meanwhile, 8-15 cm of fresh snow was packed by wind and firm on the non-compacted area. It was flatter and better than I had expected.

Kitaone Rindo Course was really firm, while Sakka Slope was nicely firm and crowded with beginners. Both of them were great. By the way, “SAKE Nouveau Celebration Event” will be held at the bar lounge on the 2nd floor of Hakuba Tokyu Hotel from 14:00 tomorrow, as “Hakuna Happo Kurobishi”, SAKE Nouveau (unfiltered sake) will go on sale.
