Happo One / ◎240cm / Snowy & Cloudy2019.Jan.23
It was snowy but soft sunlight came through thin clouds. Dry snow that accumulated until yesterday was compacted by Pisten on the southern side of Usagidaira. I enjoyed making turns, feeling the soft powder snow and the great impact. Many people arrived and started skiing/snowboarding from the early morning although it was a weekday.

The compacted area along Kurobishi No.2 Quad was soft and great, and my ski edges cut into the snow well. I saw advanced skiers/snowboarders gaining speed and sliding down in an arch. The central area of Skyline Course was nice, however, there were some ups and downs maybe because it was compacted roughly.

The construction of HAPPO BANKS THE SNOWPARK, which is scheduled to open on Feb,2 (Sat), has started at Kitaone No.3 Slope this morning. Meanwhile, the southern side was available and Kitaone No.3 Pair stared operation on time at 9 am.

It was officially announced that the amount of snow increased from 80 cm on Jan.20 (Sun) to 120 cm today at the lower area. (※It is 15 cm more compared to the last year!) I got excited with the large amount of snow and the feeling of powder snow. It started to snow heavily around 9 am at the upper area. It was cloudy at the lower area, however, it started to snow there too.
