Happo one / ◎210cm / Cloudy2019.Jan.10
It was really cold due to the radiative cooling. The temperature was -18℃ at the foot in the early morning, which was the lowest temperature of this season! Even in the daytime, the temperature did not rise all over the slope because it got cloudy just before the slope opened, and the sun was kept behind thin clouds all day.

Heavy snow from yesterday morning was compacted by Pisten at the area along Kurobishi No.2 Quad, which was soft and great (shown in the photo). The snow was nicely soft and perfect too at the southern area of Usagidaira, Panorama and Skyline. My skis ran well and I enjoyed gaining speed. “It’s a beautiful day today!”, lots of visitors said to me.

Kitaone No.3 Slope and Sakka Slope were covered with powder snow like the upper area. Skiers/snowboarders made big/small turns and left behind tracks on the slope one after another, which indicated the nice slope condition.

It was warmer at Sakka Slope. Instructors at Evergreen Outdoor Center were doing group lessons for kids at the area along Sakka No.2 Pair. I am sure that the kids will improve their skills quickly after they practice on this great snow.
