Happo One / ◎160cm / Snowy2019.Jan.02
We had much more snow from last night till this morning than I had expected and the weather forecast had said. Fresh snow laid as deep as 45-50 cm along Kurobishi No.3 Pair. Skiers and snowboarders headed for the non-groomed area of Usagidaira and Kurobishi to enjoy powder snow as soon as they got off Alpen Quad, which started working at 7:45 a.m.. I saw them making face shots one after another.
[Kurobishi]
“We enjoy your reports!”, skiers coming from Tokyo, Chiba, and Kyoto said. The snow surface was unclear at the upper area due to the thick fog. However, skis ran well and I enjoyed sliding down on the firm, flat area along Kurobishi Quad.
[Kuorobishi Slope]
Fresh snow laid about 40-45 cm at the non-groomed area of Skyline Course too and I enjoyed soft powder snow. The slope was filled with ski tracks around 9 a.m. in the cheer here and there. By the way, fresh snow on the surface was getting rough on the groomed area.
[Skyline Course]
The groomed Rinkan Course of Kitaone was firm and nice for beginners from the top to the bottom. The groomed area of Sakka Slope was also firm and nice. There was about 35 cm of fresh snow on the non-groomed upper area of Olympic Course Ⅱ. On the other hand, the lower area was well-groomed.
