Happo One / ◎145cm / Light Snowy2018.Dec.31

18123101_happoMorning sunlight cast onto the slope and I felt refreshed this morning. It was chilly and trees at the upper area were covered with rime in the dry snow falling. There was about 20cm of fresh snow on the non-compacted area along Alpen Quad and Sodeguro (shown as photo). I saw advanced skier and snowboarders managing well on the firm slope with ups and downs.

18123102_happoThe southern area of Usagidaira and the area along Kurobishi No.2 Quad were nice with firm, groomed snow and about 2 cm of light, fresh snow. I saw many advanced skiers and snowboarders making sharp turns at the wide area along Kurobishi No.2 Quad. It was foggy sometimes, however, there was no problem in sliding down.

18123103_happoThe groomed area of Skyline Course was also covered with firm powder snow. “We enjoy your reports! We were the first to arrive at Asaichi (Early morning) Riesen and Skyline Course.”, two skiers coming from Shizuoka said. By the way, there was about 20 cm of fresh snow on the non-groomed area here as well.

18123104_happoRinkan Course at Kitaone was well-groomed from the top to the bottom. About 3-5 cm of fresh snow lied on the non-groomed steep slope with ups and downs (shown in the photo). Some branches and tall grasses were still uncovered.
