Happo-one / ◎130cm / snow2018.Dec.30

18123001_happoIt was snowing this morning as the strong winter air pressure pattern continued. At 7:30 pm, the temperature gauge of Usagidaira showed -11℃, in addition to strong winds, gusts blown intermittently and I felt a severe cold. Seven gests from Hyogo prefecture said “I always…,I watch every time! I came here since yesterday because I wanted to slide “Riesen in the morning first”.

18123002_happoBecause of the strong wind, the alpine quad, the skyline second pair and the Kurobishi second quad quit the race…. Many visitors inevitably flowed to the panorama course and Riesen slalom course. In the panorama of moderately tightened snow,  the edges often bite and could repeat the turn comfortably.
[Panorama course]
18123003_happoThere was a fresh snow of 10 to 15 cm in the central course where wind influence was small. As early as the snow was brought by the edge and it was starting to undulate, as it was dry and soft, it did not impede slippage. In addition, the gondola which once moved also stopped service at around 8:10.
[Central course]
18123004_happoThe northern part of the Shirakaba slope where snow took in the width of about 4 pistens was moderately soft. The fresh snow in the non-snowy area was about 10 cm, the foundation was solidly formed and I put it with confidence. The person who came to the gondola mountain station moved to the Shirakaba second pair which started to move at 9:10.
