Happo One / ○100cm / Snowy & Cloudy2018.Dec.24

18122401_happoThe chill came back and it was snowy last night. It was announced that the amount of snow reached 1 m again! When I got off Gondola, which started operation punctually at 8 am, I found Usagidaira Slope was covered with the thick fog in the snow.

18122402_happoThe area along Kurobishi No.3 Pair lift, where bushes were still bare, was only partially available. People dropped to the area along Alpen Quad one after another to enjoy powder snow, as if they were competing. There was about 25 cm of soft fresh snow on the slope. I had a bottom feeling, however, it was not hard. There was no up and down along lift poles and I fully enjoyed the powder snow there.

18122403_happoMy skis were sometimes driven off because of a big mogul when I entered carelessly onto the center of the non-compacted area of Usagidaira. Meanwhile, there was about 1-2 cm of fresh snow on the firm compacted area, which was nice.

18122404_happoI enjoyed making turns as I wanted at the northern part of Panorama course, which was nicely firm and flat. Meanwhile, about 10 – 15 cm of fresh snow lied on the southern non-compacted area. There was about 5 minute waiting line for Gondola around 9 am. However, there was no waiting time for other lifts and I enjoy sliding down again and again.
