It was peaceful morning with a soft light casting. Lots of tracks were left on the slope because Riesen was the only course available at Happo, where there are usually many people sliding fast as it is. The upper and middle area was hard and the lower area was even harder as the slope was compacted last night.

After a while, the slope became rather soft because of the shaved snow. However, large and small snowballs gradually appeared on the slope, which made it hard to gain speed. The ditch that had crossed the course in the middle part yesterday was flat, filled with artificial snow.

“I enjoy your reports”, a holder of a season ticket from Hakuba Village said. “I mainly enjoy powder snow at non-compacted areas during peak season every year”, he told me.

“WHITE HORSE BAR” will newly open at Usagidaira Terrace this year. (※ Going to open late in December) It’s across from the entrance of Yeti. You can taste White Horse Scotch・Whiskey on the rocks or highball. Beer and Cocktail will be served as well.
