The winter season 2018-2019 began in Riesen Slalom Course 1st course in Happo! The condition in the area of the compacted snow in the beginning course was so nice to turn comfortably again and again with the edges biting the snow. But the low visibility caused by the light rain and the gas, so we had to ski with low speed.

There is the narrow area because of little snow around a gutter in the middle of the course, so we had to be careful again with the control of the speed. From the middle stage to the last stage, there was some snowballs in the slope.

The usually greeting, ” We always enjoy reading the report!” was given off by the groups coming from Tokyo, Osaka and Aomori. They said ” This is a farewell skiing for our friend who will be transferred to New York in January.

By the way, ‘the opening ceremony for the 60th anniversary’ was held at the Gondolasanroku Station before starting of operarion in the early morning. The people coming in the early morning were given Amazake and after that, the break of the decorative ball at 8:20 caused their big hand clappings.
