Happo One / ×45cm / Snowy2018.Dec.14
The heavy snow coming in awaited! The snow from last night kept falling until this morning, not only at each ski resort of HAKUBA VALLEY including Happo but also in front of JR Hakuba station where the altitude is low 10 ~ 12 cm piled up. When leaving Usagidaira terrace, fresh snow is about 35 cm on the hard snow layer which is about 10 cm. This morning, I couldn’t see the entire course because of the dense gas, bush did not appear in the range where I could see.
[Usagidaira Slope]
Riesen, where artificial snow machines are running, somewhat humid fresh snow was piled 30 ~ 35 cm. Northern wind blows intermittently, the snowy surface tapped is crusty. From the early stage to the middle stage, slope was getting depressed with the width of two snow- pushed cars, and the base making of Baan was proceeding.
[Riesen Slalom Course]
The fresh snow amount of the Panorama course was also 30 ~ 35 cm, but it did not feel peculiar to artificial snow. When I asked the staff of the ski resort that I am working on, I heard that “open is dependent on future snow because there is not enough snow to put in a snow-covered car.”
[Panorama course]
The snow fade slightly weakened around noon, but it was still constantly descending. Well, we decided to open the ski resort on 12/15 (Sat) tomorrow! The gondola (2,064m) and Riesen Quad (1,682) move, and Riesen slalom course can slide.
