Karuizawa Primo will open everyday until May.6 (Sun), the last day of the ski area. The photo shows a new menu pasta, “Nozawana (1,300 yen)”. You can enjoy a combination of the aroma of sakura shrimp and the salty taste of Nozawana. Three kinds of Morning Set (500JPY, 700JPY, 1,000JPY) is also available from the middle of March (every day until 11:00 am).

Top of the ski area was shrouded in a thick fog in the early morning. It was chilly and gentle wind blowing. The area around Kurobishi Quad was well-groomed and soft granular snow. While at the groomed area of Usagidara, I found some hard parts but it didn’t disturb the skiing.
[Kurobishi]
As I skied down to Panorama Course the visibility got clear. The slope was flat and soft but my skis ran well and I enjoyed making turns. A skier gave me the watchword “I always enjoy your reports!” and skied down beautifully.
[Panorama Course]
The clouds started to clear around 8:45 a.m. and the beautiful blue sky gradually spread. Riesen Grat was closed because the snow melted fast with the rain lasted for two days until yesterday morning. On the other hand, 4 available courses were well-prepared and there were almost no bushes. In addition, the snow surface of Usagidaira was not so dirty as it looked with a live-camera.
