It was a beautiful day and Hakuba Sanzan were standing against the blue sky. The temperature was +15℃ at the top of the ski area, and I sweated as I started to ski. The gentle wind was blowing at Skyline Course and it  felt really nice.

The snow had melted and the ground was uncovered under Skyline 2. While the snow was still left on the groomed bottom area. Many people started to enjoy the long well-groomed area from the early morning. Lots of ski tracks were left on the melting granular snow surface and it gradually became slushy.

“We always enjoy your reports. This is 36th day in Happo, this season. We’re going to come to Happo during the Golden Week as well.”, said a couple from Nagoya City,  Aichi Pref.. In the early morning, the groomed area of Usagidaira was soft and flat granular snow. It was nice overall, however, there were some hard parts around the starting area which made difficult to turn.

The area along Kurobishi Quad was soft, flat, and in nice condition. While there were large moguls around the area along Kurobishi 3 and Alpen Quad. By the way, only the area on the skiers’ left side of Kokusai 3 is available in the Panorama Course from today.
