The descending course was totally closed on Apr.15 (Sun). Instead, Skyline Course has re-opened!5 courses: Riesen Grat, Kurobishi, Usagidaira, Panorama, and Skyline are now available! The clouds were moving fast and some times the sun was shadowed by the clouds.

Kurobishi was groomed widely and nicely soft and my skis ran well. Sunny places were getting melted from the early morning. When I skied down to Riesen Grat and Usagidaira around 9 a.m., the layer of granular snow was thick and the edges sunk deeply in to the snow.

The slopes were not crowded this morning because many people turn out late. I saw some parts turned in to the earth color on the skiers’ right side of the lower Usagidaira. However, it didn’t disturb the skiing. There were big moguls in the area along Alpen Quad and I saw only a few people skiing there.

The restaurants in the slopes; Usagidaira Terrace (Yeti, Primo, Corona ESCAPE Terrace, HAPPO USAGIDAIRA CAFÉ), Sun Terrace Panorama, Pilar, and Cafeteria Kurobishi will open until the closing day, May. 6 (Sun). You can enjoy the traditional taste with Borsch set (1,480JPY) at Yeti.
