The weather had been unpredictable this week. However, it became a beautiful day today! Skiers from Tokyo, Kanagawa, Osaka, and Shiga Pref. gave me the watchword, “We always enjoy your reports! It’s lucky that we could see the seas of clouds.” The groomed area at the southern side of Usagidaira was firm and I enjoyed gaining speeds.

The granular snow was nicely firm at the area along Kurobishi Quad, which was thoroughly groomed. The slope got crowded gradually with skiers and snowboarders but I could enjoy making turns freely.

The beginning and the middle of Skyline Course, which was well-groomed, were flat and firm around 8:30 a.m.. There was granular snow shaved by edges, which made the surface soft. The lower area was melting and soft as well. Sakka remained flat and nice because there were not many people, even though the granular snow was melting soft.

Hakuba Sanzan was rising against blue sky, which looked amazing. I stopped many times and admired it. A father with his sons said, “I always enjoy your reports. We came from either Aichi or Tokyo individually and met here.” A lot of people gave me the watchword today. Thank you, everyone!
