There was no wind at Usagidaira Slope.The fog sometimes got thick but sometimes cleared. The starting point on the compacted area was a bit hard, while the middle and lower area was firm. Many people slid down slowly, using edges because of poor visibility.

 A soft sunlight came out and the blue sky appeared through the breaks in the clouds above Kurobishi Slope, which had been shrouded in thin fog, around 8:45. The area along Kurobishi No.2 Quad was nicely firm and flat. It was much better than it looked.

 The compacted area on Skyline Course was nicely firm as well. I enjoyed making turns again and again. Not many people arrived before 9:00, so I fully enjoyed the slope, not having to worry about other skiers and snowboarders.

As I ran through the nice Skyline Course and entered into Rindo Course, the surface got harder. When I reached the ending area of Olympic Course II, I found the snow got wet and granular. On Shirakaba Slope, the slightly wet granular snow was well-compacted.
