It was very cold such as January from yesterday afternoon. In this morning, because of the strong wind, Kokusai 1 and Happo Riesen Quad didn’t began the operation. Sakka Kitaone Quad only started on time, and I went to HAPPO BANKS, where the snow blown up from the ground constantly.

At the steep slope of Kitaone Course at the bottom was covered with 20-25 cm of the fresh snow. The snow covered the rough bottom at the beginning because of the wind. So I enjoyed powder run.

From the middle of Kita-one, there were 15-20cm of the fresh snow on the big bumps, so it was in difficult condition. But the quality of the snow was good and there was the only slope where we enjoyed the powder snow in the morning, so many people came here.

The powder snow was groomed at Sakka, so was in good condition to ski. But there were few people at the southern part of Sakka 2, therefore, the corduroy patterns were kept for a long time. Nakiyama 2 & 3, Shirakaba 2 & 3 began the operation and Kita-one 3 started working at 9:30 a.m. as HAPPO BANKS opened.
