Happo-one / ◎420cm / Snowy2018.Feb.17
A skier from Shizuoka Prefecture spoke to me in the snow in the early morning, saying “Could you take a picture? I went to Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort yesterday and this is my 4th time here, to Happo this season.” He had gone through the thick fog after being taken the photo.
[Kurobishi]
There was about 10 cm of soft new snow on Kurobishi Slope, which was nicely firm and flat with powder snow. It was impressive to see snow running down on my skis while I skied down. I saw a mother and a child skied down carefully because visibility was bad.

Visibility was also not good at Skyline Course that I was about to go the wrong way. The course was nicely firm with about 10cm of new snow. Like Kurobishi and Usagidaira, the fog sometimes lifted (as shown in the picture), however, it didn’t last so long.
[Skyline Course]
I finally reached under the clouds at Rindo Course of Kitaone. Sakka Slope was groomed but firm. Besides, about 8 cm of new snow on the slope was a bit wet. It seemed the snow had started to fall in earnest, compared with the condition in the early morning.
