There were many clouds in the western sky but it was a fine weather. When I got off of a gondola, it was calm but it was breezing when I got off Alpen Quad. It wasn’t cold since the sun was shining.
[Usagidaira]
The groomed slopes of the southern side of Usagidaira was nicely firm powder snow. The edges of skis were biting the snow surface well and I could make turns as I imagined. Advanced skiers and snowboarders were riding down the slope fast using Alpen Quad many times. The slope got lots of ski tracks soon.
[Usagidaira]
Kurobishi Quad had moderately firm powder snow and it was very smooth on the both sides of the lift. However, the groomed snow near Kurobishi 3 (the left side of photo) was very firm because it’s blown by the strong wind. I thought the snow was groomed two nights ago. I found it interesting that the snow felt different although it’s the same slope.
[Kurobishi]
I could make turns comfortable on the groomed slopes of Skyline Course which got nicely firm powder snow from the bottom to the top. Kitaone Course, Olympic Course Ⅱ and Shirakaba were all in the same condition.
