We have 3 straight snowy morning. We expected the deep powdery snow today because of the heavy snowfall, however, all lifts except for those in Shirakaba, Nakiyama and Sakka were closed because it was blowing a strong wind in the upper areas. In Nakiyama area, there was also a gale and it blew snow up sometimes.

In such a day like today, the north steep slope in Nakiyama is recommended. It does not have a long run, but is always off-piste, so this morning, there was 30cm deep fresh snow. We could enjoy fluffy feel there.

The south part of Nakiyama was groomed. The slope was nicely soft and covered with 5－10cm fresh snow. In the sides of the course, there was 20－30cm fresh snow and high spray of snow was raised when people skied into there. However, the slope was crowded with people, so a lot of ski tracks were made soon.

In Shirakaba area, Shirakaba No.2 was open as scheduled and Shirakaba No.1 was open at around 8:30 a.m. The slopes were as good as Nakiyama. By the way, as of 0:00 p.m, the lifts in the upper area and gondola are still closed. Shirakaba No.1 & No.2, Nakiyama No.2 & No.3, Sakka No.2 & No.3 and Happo No.1 are open now.
