Happo-one / ◎380cm / Snowy2018.Jan.26
It’s freezing on my way to Happo and I was thinking in my car that someone put HAKUBA VALLEY in a huge fridge. Gondola started working at 8 a.m. on time but Alpen Quad didn’t have even a test operation because of the blizzard. When I took pictures, I couldn’t feel my fingers.
[Usagidaira]
The fresh snow was at a depth of just 15cm this morning in Usagidaira because it’s packed by the strong wind. Panorama Course had 2 cm of fresh snow on the flat groomed slope. The powdery slope was firm enough to ski fast. If you bundle up yourself against the cold, you will enjoy making turns here.
[Panorama Course]
A strong northwest wind was blowing in Olympic Course 2 as well. The snow was groomed and nicely firm this morning. I think we should use the gondola to protect ourselves against the cold when we go through Olympic Course Ⅰ, Olympic Course Ⅱ, Central and Riezen.
[Olympic Course Ⅱ]
The wind dropped at the bottom of the ski area as in Sakka and Shirakaba and I was relieved. As I walked on the tight and groomed snow, it’s crunching under my feet. The powdery snow was in the best condition and I made turns as I imagined.
