When I took off Gondola, I was surprised that the wind blew strongly, because it didn’t blow at the bottom. Therefore in the morning, all lifts upper than Alpen Quad and Skyline No.2 Pair were stopped operation. The strong north-west wind bring snow fluttered at Panorama.

The slope was flat, wide and firm at Panorama. But the edges of the skis bit the snow well, so I could ski comfortably. The early morning operation was held at Riese Slalom Course today. So Panorama got crowded as soon as the slope opened.

It was in difficult condition that the stiff bumps were on the non-groomed part in the path of Central Course. When I skied the groomed steep slope of Central, I heard the noise of chafing against the snow and there were many small snow balls. In such a condition, the couple from Aichi Pref. gave me the watchword, “We always see your reports!” and skied down smart.

The groomed slope at Shirakaba was also hard, but the edge bit the snow well. At the courses below Central wind didn’t blow. Then the upper lifts started operation at 9:15 a.m..
