It was a very beautiful sunny day and the morning sun made the slopes orange after the lifts and gondola started operation at 7:30 a.m.. The groomed area of Usagidaira was moderately firm and the edges of skis were biting nicely, so I could make turns comfortably.

Grat Quad started the operation from 8:00 a.m., 20 minutes earlier than on time schedule. “We always enjoy your reports! Please take a picture of us!” said a group of six from Nagano City and Aichi Pref.. It was bit disappointing because thick clouds covered the Northern Alps but they gave me cheerful smiles under the blue sky.

The first half of Risen Grat was groomed nicely firm and skier’s right of the second half of steep slope was groomed 40 m wide. The second half of Risen Grat was firm and soon the slopes was covered with many ski tracks.

Kurobishi, Usagidaira and Panorama were so crowded. On the contrary to that, less people were at Olympic 1 and Kokusai. The slope had lots of bumps which were random and hard. It was so difficult part.
