It snowed a lot yesterday evening. It’s cloudy and breezing at the top of ski slope this morning and I was cold unless I moved my body. Many visitors who were mainly from overseas liked non-groomed area and URAKURO was one of most popular among them.

The fresh snow was at a depth of 15 cm in non-groomed area of Usagidaira, Kurobishi and Skyline Course. The dry and fluffy fresh snow was covered the hard foundation. Skyline Course was popular and people enjoyed the eastern non-groomed area (photo).

The groomed area from the middle to top of ski area was nicely firm powder snow. The quality of snow has been hard since it rained on Jan. 17 (wed) but it got back to usual quality in January this morning. Instructors from Evergreen Outdoor Center enjoyed skiing in a group, which was impressive.

Sakka was popular especially among international visitors. Each slope at the bottom was firm, which made it easy to ski fast. The operation of Sakka Kitaone Quad was delayed because of  maintenance and started at 10 a.m..
