There were low clouds in the west sky but the clouds in the east was much thin and sometimes the sun shines. The groomed Riesen Slalom Course in the early morning was covered with 3 cm fresh snow. It was bit difficult to ski because snow condition was different inside the course.

The clouds covered the ski area from middle to the top sometimes. The crowded Panorama Course was nicely firm and covered with thin fresh snow. The course got rough but it was easy to ski there.

After Alpen Quad started at 8:50 a.m., many skiers and snowboarders who participate “FWQ Freeride Hakuba 3*” is taking the lift. This tournament is qualifier for “Freeride World Tour Hakuba Japan 2018“. Japanese riders who won the qualifiers in every category will qualify to the final tournament.

The non-groomed area from Panorama Course to Central Course was covered irregular and hard small bumps. So many beginners and intermediate riders were struggling. Central Course was groomed wide and nicely firm and I could make turns comfortably.
