It was cloudy and dark in the morning on the last day of three consecutive holidays. As soon as Alpen Quad began working at 7:35 a.m., many people who had skied Riesen went to Usagidaira and it got crowded soon. Kurobishi Quad starts operation at 7:55 a.m. on every holiday. There were fresh corduroy patterns remained along Kurobishi No.2 Quad because it started later than others.

The entire slope was groomed along Kurobishi Quad. It was moderately firm and the edge bit the snow well, so it was in good condition to ski. On the other hand, at the southern part of Usagidaira, at the beginning the snow was hard because of the artificial snow, but at the middle it was moderately firm.

The groomed area of Skyline Course was moderately firm and I could ski very comfortably. So I wanted to take Skyline 2 many times! There remained ski tracks at non-groomed area under the line of the lift, and they got very firm. It was hard to ski, therefore few people tried there.

There were few people at Kita-one & Sakka even at 8:30 a.m. But at the northern gentle slope of Kita-one (photo) and Kita-one 3 had really good quality of the snow, same as the upper part. A family from Tokyo enjoyed skiing. (* Happo-one report will not update tomorrow, Jan. 9)
