“Early Morning Operation” will be held on Sunday until March 11, 3 days holiday of January and February. Nakiyama 3 will open from 6:40 a.m.. Many people were making long line even at 6:30 a.m..

There was no wind but the temperature at the upper area was -11 degree Celsius and it was very cold in the early morning. A group of regular customer of Happo gave me the watchword. After that east sky began to turn orange and the sun rises from the ridge of Mt. Asama little past 7:00 a.m..
[Riesen Slalom Course]
Riesen Slalom Course was groomed wide and nicely firm from start to middle part. The snow was in powder condition and many advanced skiers and snowboarders were making beautiful turns. And it was great feeling to ski under orange light.

Usuba area was bit hard because of artificial snow but it was not bad. The widely groomed Nakiyama was not crowded so I could make turns comfortably. As the gondola and other lifts started at 7:30 a.m. the ski area got more crowded.
