Golden Week, 9 straight holidays at the maximum, has started today!! During this holidays, the gondola, Kokusai No.1 Pair and Kitaone Quad will be open at 7:30 a.m. on Apr. 29, 30, May 3－7 (Kokusai No.1 Pair will be closed on May 1 & 2). 2 skiers from Aichi Pref. gave me the watchword, “We always enjoy your reports!” under the hazy blue sky.

It was very warm in this early morning and the groomed slope of Usagidaira was slushy already. The ungroomed area along Alpen Quad was covered with deep bumps and it looked in difficult condition, while the bumps in the slope along Kurobishi No.3 Pair were nicely shallow and melting, so it was easy to try.

We could ski and snowboard very comfortably in the groomed slope along Kurobishi No.2 Quad because it was nicely soft. I was impressed by the high-speed riding by experts. After that, more and more clouds gathered at around 8:30 a.m, but the soft sunlight was always cast, so we could see the run well.

Panorama Course was very crowded with people, such as 4 skiers from Aichi and Nagano Pref. Therefore, the run got rough soon at around 9:00 a.m. By the way, Kitaone Kogen has started the spring operation today until May 28 (Sun) and Kitaone Kogen Terrace is also open! (Sakka Kitaone Quad Round-trip Ticket Adult JPY1,000, Child JPY700).
