The gondola, Sakka Kitaone Quad and Kokusai No.1 Pair will be open at 7:30 a.m. on Apr. 29, 30, May 3－7 during Golden Week (8:00 a.m. on Apr. 27, 28, May 1, 2). The groomed slope of Skyline Course was slushy and soft in this morning. The ungroomed slope along Skyline No.2 Pair was covered with shallow soft bumps and it was easy to try.

The beginning part of Usagidaira was nicely firm and the lower part was melting. The slope was groomed well and I saw many experts skiing down with high speed.

In the slope along Kurobishi No.2 Quad facing the north, only the surface was melting, so the edges did not go into the slope too deeply and I could make turns comfortably. Some people skied into the ungroomed slope along Kurobishi No.3 Pair, but the bumps were deep and firm still in the early morning.

We had a calm morning with the hazy sky and the great view of Northern Alps was so beautiful. I met 3 people from Hakuba and they said they would go trekking today. By the way, Grat Quad was late for the opening because of the maintenance and open at 9:30 a.m.
