The cloudless blue sky was spread and it was warm & windless morning. The sunlight was so strong that I felt hot even when I was standing. Though it was a weekday many people were starting to ski & snowboard at 9 a.m.; mainly Usagidaira and Panorama Course were crowded.

South of Usagidaira was groomed well and the run was nicely melted from early in the morning. A snowboarder gave me the watchword, “I always enjoy your report!” and snowboarded down with smart turns. The edges of skis were sinking deep into the snow and clear ski tracks were made.

Panorama Course was also melted soft and people were skiing and snowboarding slowly. So I could make the turns as I imagined in the wide course.

A man from Shiga Pref. was enjoying spring skiing with a colleague. He said he is visiting the ski areas of HAKUBA VALLEY for nearly 30 years! The soft bumps were covered the steep slope along Alpen Quad but only few people were skiing there around 9:30 a.m.
