When I came out of Usagidaira Terrace, the visibility was so poor because of the thick fogs. The wind was very weak, but the air was chilly and I felt cold in this morning. A family from Matsumoto City, Nagano, gave me the watchword, “We always enjoy your reports!”. The daughter was a good skier who passed the first degree certification of skiing and she showed me her skillful riding on the nicely soft groomed slope along Kurobishi No.2 Quad.

The groomed slope of Usagidaira was nicely firm and my skis ran well. However, the fog was still thick, so we had to slow down. The lower part was also in good codition, so I regret having had such a foggy day.

“We often see your website. We come skiing to Happo every week”, 2 men from Nagano and Mie Pref. cheered me and said that they had made friends with each other when they were skiing in Happo. The snow got melting after 9:00 a.m. and the bumpy slope along Alpen Quad was nicely soft.

Today and tomorrow, a ski test-riding event of 4FRNT, Liberty and BLASTRACK is held in front of Usagidaira Terrace (9:30 a.m.－3:00 p.m, ID card required). You can ask the expert staffs and riders for advice there. By the way, the parking area in the bottom of Shirakaba was open today (Free on weekdays, JPY600 per car on weekends & GW holidays).
