In this morning, the lifts in the upper areas were suspending the operations because of the strong wind, while the gondora, Kokusai No.3 Pair and Panorama Pair were open as scheduled. The sunlight was cast and blocked off by the clouds again and again. The groomed slope of Panorama Course was nicely firm and in good condition.

Panorama Course was the only course open in the morning, except for Riesen Slalom and Shirakaba as skiing-down courses to the bottom, so the slope got crowded with people from the early time. A man from Gifu Pref. gave me the watchword, “I always enjoy your reports!”

Riesen Slalom Course was not groomed today and covered with shallow bumps. The upper part was nicely soft, but the lower part was very slushy with heavy corn snow. The ground was exposed in the side of the slope, but the central part had still enough snow.

In Shirakaba, the snow was gathered to make the slope wide as 2 piste bashers, with no bushes and stones. By the way, it is expected that the parking areas will be busy in this weekends, so “Spring Skiing Shuttle Bus” is recommended to get to the gondola and Sakka Kitaone Quad (Available only on weekends, 8:00 a.m.－, Every 30 minutes).
