The official temperature of the upper part of the ski area has recorded degrees above zero (+4 degree Celsius) for the first time since the beginning of 2017. There were no wind and the run of south of Usagidaira was nicely melted; I could ski with speed comfortably. The non-groomed run along Alpen Quad was covered with big bumps but it was also melted soft and I could challenge it easily.

The groomed slope along Kurobishi Quad was nicely firm corn snow and I could ski easily. The sky was covered with high-clouds after 8:30 a.m. The run of Skyline Course was melting more and more as I skied down but it was not crowded because of the courses below it was closed; the snow remained fresh for a long time.

On the other hand, Riesen was very popular early in the morning but it was settled down around 9:30 a.m. The run got rough and bit slushy but I could make turns comfortably. By the way, Riesen Quad and Nakiyama 3 will open until this weekend, April 9.

Shirakaba was also slushy corn snow. 3 courses, Riesen, Central and Olympic 2, are available to ski down to Gondola Base Station now. There are plenty of snow this season on these courses and I could ski with ease. Judging from this, the snow of the bottom area will remain until April 16.
