The sky was hazy like spring, and wind didn’t blow and it was a nice day to ski and snowboard. We could enjoy the beautiful Northern Alps like Hakuba Sanzan. Yesterday 3cm dry snow fell on the upper part of the ski area. And in the early morning, due to the radiative cooling, the temperature was -8 degrees.

At the southern part of Usagidaira and along Kurobishi No.2 Quad, the groomed snow was nicely firm. Although it was not powdery, the snow quality was good and the edges of my skis bit the snow well and I could repeat ideal turns.

The widely groomed run of Skyline Course was also nicely firm. I was glad to make the first ski track on the snow. As I skied down, the snow became bit hard and corn snow at Rinkan Course in Kita-One, but the snow surface became softer, due to the sunshine, so I could ski comfortably.

The slope of Sakka was nicely soft and flat corn snow. Although there were still plenty of snow, the operation of Nakiyama No.2 Pair, Shirakaba No.1 Pair & No.2 Pair, Sakka No.2 Pair, Sakka No.3 Triple will finish tomorrow on Mar. 26 (Sun) . In addition, Sakka Kids Park and 100Katsu are available until Mar. 26 (Sun). The night skiing at Nakiyama will finishes on Mar.25 (Sat).
