We have 2 straight sunny days with the clear sky! Alpen Quad was open 15 minutes later than usual because of the safety check. In Usagidaira, we could see beautiful piste and off-piste slopes before the opening.

The south area of Usagidaira was groomed well and nicely firm. I saw many experts skiing and snowboarding with high-speed turns. It was hardly blowing a wind, so the temperature was getting higher and the thin clouds came up gradually at around 9:00 a.m.

The wide and flat slope of Panorama Course was also in good condition. The snow was still nice in Central Course. The fresh run remained for a long while there because only a few people skied into the course in the morining, so I could go down the steep run comfortably.

When I skied down to the bottom area, Shirakaba, the surface of the snow got melting. I found some beginners such as a group of Kanagawa Pref. enjoying at their own pace. By the way, “The 71st Happo-one Riesen Slalom Competitioin” will be held tomorrow for 2 days in Riesen Slalom Course!!
