The clouds were hanging over the ski area in this early morning, but they had broke up and the clear sky spread out at around 9:00 a.m. Finally, we had an ideal day for riding with the warm sunlight and no wind! I found back country skiers and hikers with big backpacks climing up in the top of the ski area.

The upper part of Riesen Grat was groomed and nicely firm. The lower steep slope was covered with bumps and they were getting bigger as I skied down. The snow was nicely firm, so it was easy to try them and I thought I would like to ski there again and again.

The ungroomed steep slopes along Alpen Quad and Kurobishi No.3 Pair were covered with big bumps. They were nicely melting thanks to the warm sunlight, so many people skied into those areas one after another. In the flat and firm groomed slopes of Usagidaira and Kurobishi, I could make turns as I imagined.

HAPPO BANKS was also in good condition. The surface of the slopes got melting as well and this area was crowded with people in spite of that today was a weekday. As I skied down, the snow was melting more and more in Olympic Course Ⅱ and there was corn snow in Shirakaba.
