It was snowing quietly and a little foggy in the morning. It was very cold, -9 degrees, but I did not felt so cold. People from Kyoto who came to Hakuba after a long night driving gave me the watchword, “We always see your reports!”

The south part of Usagidaira was hard and covered with thin fresh snow. Many people tended to slow down and made turns carefully. In spite of that, the slope along Kurobishi No.2 Quad was softer, so I could ski smoothly there.

By the way, the slope along Alpen Quad is always ungroomed and bumpy, but it was groomed this morning. I found experts made rhythmical turns again and again. The bumps and the rough ungroomed areas were very hard, so people hardly skied into those areas.

In Skyline Course, I met a large group with over 100 people from Kinki, Chugoku region. Thank you all for your cheering and greeting today! Some parts of the beginning of Skyline were icy. The ungroomed areas were in difficult condition as well as Usagidaira.
