Today, the 3rd Sunday, is “Ski Kids Day” and the lift pass for children is free!! I found many families with kids, such as a father and a daughter from Ishikawa Pref. The blue sky spread out before the opening and we had calm weather in the mountain foot, but….

It was blowing a strong wind in the upper part and the gondola and lifts suspended the operation. However, Kokusai No.1 Pair and Kokusai No.3 Pair, which were open at 6:15 a.m. because “100 Katsu Early Morning” was held, were still in operation, so Panorama Course was available. A skier who belongs Team Yone from Toyama Pref. showed his skillful skiing on the soft slope.

We had 3－10cm fresh snow yesterday, so even I skied down, Olympic Course Ⅱ was in good condition as well. The groomed slope was nicely firm and many people snowboarded and skied with high speed. In Sakka of the bottom area, the beautiful soft & wide slopes spread out.

I met a group from Osaka and Tokyo. They said to me, “We enjoy your reports everyday. We come skiing to Hakuba every weekend!” By the way, the wind is still strong, so the lifts in Riesen Grat, Usagidaira, Kurobishi and the gondola are still closed at 0:00 p.m. In Panorama Course, “100 Katsu Early Morning” will be held at 6:15 a.m. on Feb. 26 (Sun) and there will be free coffee service in Sun Terrace Panorama.
